The Kidde® 10-Year Sealed-In Battery-Powered Photoelectric Smoke Alarm with LED Light & Voice Alert is a hardwired smoke alarm that uses 120V AC for the main power source combined with a sealed-in lithium battery backup for continuous protection during power outages. Photoelectric sensor technology detects visible fire particles, associated with smoldering fires. LED warning light ring indicators keep you informed of the alarm’s status. If a smoke or fire hazard is present, an 85-decibel alarm, red LED light, and voice warning will verbally announce, “FIRE” or “WARNING! CARBON MONOXIDE.” A green LED will remain steady to indicate AC power. A test-Hush button allows for temporary silence of nuisance or “false” alarms. also features wire-free interconnect capability, allowing multiple smoke alarms of this type to communicate wirelessly so when one alarm sounds, all connected smoke detectors will sound. This Kidde fire alarm can be connected with other Kidde alarms in your home to help protect your family. A maximum of 24 Kidde devices can be interconnected in a multiple-station arrangement but cannot exceed the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) limit of 18 initiation devices, of which 12 can be smoke alarms. With 18 initiating devices (smoke, heat, CO, etc.), interconnected, it is still possible to interconnect 6 strobe lights and or relay modules. UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty on the alarm. Meets requirements of UL 2034, UL217, NFPA72, The State of California Fire Marshal, NFPA 101, FHA, & HUD. This item is not for sale in Alaska or Hawaii.
