Protect your home and family with this easy-to-operate Kidde® FireX Direct Wire Dual Sensor Photoelectric and Ionization Smoke Alarm with Hush is a hardwired, combination smoke and CO alarm with a 9-Volt battery (included) for backup during power outages. Advanced technology combines photoelectric and electrochemical sensor technologies to detect visible fire particles (associated with smoldering fires) and invisible fire particles (associated with fast flaming fires) to help keep your family safe. Two LED warning light indicators keep you informed of the alarm’s status. If a smoke or fire hazard is present, an 85-decibel alarm will sound and a red LED light will appear. A green LED will remain steady to indicate AC power. A test-Hush button allows for temporary silence of nuisance or “false” alarms. The Kidde hardwired combination smoke and CO detector with battery backup can be connected with other Kidde alarms in your home to help protect your family. A maximum of 24 Kidde devices can be interconnected in a multiple-station arrangement but cannot exceed the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) limit of 18 initiation devices, of which 12 can be smoke alarms. With 18 initiating devices (smoke, heat, CO, etc.), interconnected, it is still possible to interconnect 6 strobe lights and or relay modules. UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty on the alarm.
