Protect your home and family with this easy-to-operate Kidde® Intelligent Battery-Powered Carbon Monoxide and Ionization Smoke Alarm with Hush is a battery-operated combination smoke and CO alarm with 2-AA alkaline batteries as a power source for continuous protection during a power outage. Advanced technology combines ionization sensor and electrochemical sensor technologies to detect invisible fire particles, associated with flaming fires, and carbon monoxide. Two LED warning light indicators keep you informed of the alarm’s status. If a smoke or fire hazard is present, an 85-decibel alarm, red LED light, and voice warning will verbally announce, “FIRE” or “WARNING! CARBON MONOXIDE.” A red LED light will also flash if battery power is low and announce “LOW BATTERY” every 15 minutes. A green LED will flash twice per second and announce “HUSH MODE ACTIVATED” and “HUSH MODE CANCELED”. The alarm also has Peak Level Memory upon detecting CO levels of 100 parts per million or higher, the unit will announce “CARBON MONOXIDE PREVIOUSLY DETECTED” to warn of the CO incident when the test-reset button is pressed. A test-Hush button allows for temporary silence of nuisance or “false” alarms. The Kidde hardwired combination smoke and CO detector with battery backup can be connected with other Kidde alarms in your home to help protect your family. UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty on the alarm.
