Description

This Masterforce® plunge cut track saw kit has a compact and lightweight design that allows for excellent portability and is easier to handle than larger saws. The powerful 10-amp motor operates at 5,200 RPM for optimum performance and smooth cutting. Simple depth adjustment allows you to expose only the part of the blade necessary for the cut. The plunge action allows cut placement anywhere on the cut line for straight cuts or cut-outs into material. To help keep the work area clean, the saw features a dust management system with a 1-1/4″ hose adapter for easy connection to a vacuum hose.

The track system allows for easier and safer panel cuts when compared to traditional table saws, which allows the user to take the saw to the work rather than moving a heavy panel to the saw. The low-friction glides on top of the track will allow the saw to move effortlessly along the track for smooth cutting. The track underside features two anti-slip friction strips to help keep the track from moving without need for additional clamping, but it can also be used with included clamps for exact precision cuts. The zero clearance track also features anti-splinter edges indicating the exact cut location, so cut positioning is fast, intuitive, and accurate. The track consists of four 27-1/2″ sections that can easily be joined together with the included track connectors to make up to a 110″ track. This provides ultimate portability and flexibility to customize the length of track that you need for your cut and to prevent damage when transporting and storing.

The guide track makes it easy to make precision cuts. Once you have your workpiece placed on a table and you have marked your cut line on the workpiece, simply place the guide track on the workpiece. Line up the cutting edge of the track with the cut line that you marked. Clamp down each end of the track with the included clamps. Now that the guide track is in place you will want to set the cutting depth on the saw. Once the depth is set, then you will place the saw on the guide track. The saw will rest in the track with the blade lining up with the cut line. When initially placing the saw on the track, you will want to have the track tension adjusters set to the minimum setting. The track tension adjusters control movement resistance of the saw along the track. Set them to equal tension at the maximum level to allow smooth movement along the track. This will reduce or eliminate sideways movement for more precise cuts and improved safety. Once the tensioners are all set, you are ready to make the cut.

To make plunge cuts simply mark the cutting line on the workpiece, set the saw flat on the workpiece, and align the blade with the cutting line. Then press the plunge release and switch trigger to start the saw. Slowly lower the blade onto the workpiece to allow the blade to cut into it. Continue lowering the blade until the full cutting depth has been achieved. Continue sawing toward the cutting line and complete the cut.
